One Acre Fund is a social enterprise dedicated to helping improve the lives of smallholder farmers, We provide farmers with a variety of agricultural and non-agricultural products, services and training, One Acre Fund’s Extension Partnership program in Malawi offers technical and management training to govt extension agents as well as training materials for distribution to farmers in Zomba and Phalombe Districts
One Acre Fund is now recruiting up to 2 new Assistant Trial Coordinators, to be based in Phalombe, Employment will be under a 1 yr contract with possibility tof extension, starting immediately, This is a full time position, from Monday-Saturday (working half a day on Saturdays)
Assist Trial Coordinators with day to day implementation of One Acre Fund’s Extension Partnership program, Prepare training materials and help deliver trainings to extension agents, with the assistance and supervision of the Trial Coordinator, Perform frequent field visits to monitor training activities and collect Key Performance Indicators, Build relationships with local extension officials
A minimum of a Certificate in Agriculture or a related subject, A Diploma in Agriculture is strongly preferred, A minimum of 3 yrs experience in agriculture or rural development, Experience in conducting trainings or community engagement, preferably including considerable fieldwork, Leadership experience, Fluency in English, both oral and written, Based in or willing to relocate to Phalombe, and willing to travel and conduct fieldwork on a daily basis, Demonstrated computer skills in email, internet and Microsoft Office
