Extension workers – 30 posts – Productivity implementation Program for Smallholder Farmers (PIPS)
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions of 30 Extension Workers for a newly established Productivity Implementation Program for Smallholder Farmers (PIPS) consortium in central region, The project goal is to support smallholder farmers to access customised fertilisers and advice to generate more income for improved food security
Any agricultural extension experienced wile b valued, Ability to work to tight deadlines, Good organisation and communication skills, Enthusiasm and passion to work with farmers in the rural villages, Able to work away from home – successful applicants will be hosted in the rural distribution areas at Farmers world outlets , ability to communicate with farmers on one-on one or in group meetings, Self driven with basic computer skills (MS Excel and MS Word) and smart phone knowledge, team player and should also be able to work independently and use own initiative, , Physically fit to carry around 10 kg pack and walk to farmers’ fields, Minimum 2 yrs college training with experience in agriculture (specifically crop production and/or soil science0 or closely related field
