The Graduate Trainee Program at Barry Callebaut, also known as Yourfuture@BC, is a two-year international program, which enables graduates to start their successful career at Barry Callebaut. The program starts each year in September and is launched in locations of strategic importance to Barry Callebaut. Bright young talents are given a global perspective and the opportunity to gain deep expertise in a chosen functional area. For 2015, the functional areas we are hiring for are:
- Sales & Marketing
- Operations & Supply Chain
- Finance
- Research & Development
- Trading & Sourcing
- Human Resources
- Sustainability
You get hired in one of the above functional areas based on your preference and demonstrated expertise. The program is divided into 3 to 4 assignments of which at least one is planned outside your home country. Each assignment takes place at a location of strategic importance to Barry Callebaut. You will be challenged to deliver your best and to hone your expertise by learning the different aspects of your functional area within Barry Callebaut. Depending on your project, you may also get the opportunity to co-operate with other functional areas.
Yourfuture@BC offers excellent development opportunities in an international environment. In addition to regular skills trainings, you will receive continuous feedback on your performance. To help you develop your strengths and start building Yourfuture@BC, you will be assigned a coach and a mentor throughout the program. Moreover, networking activities within the international pool of Barry Callebaut trainees from different areas will be an essential key to your success.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Are you passionate about chocolate?
- Are you a recent graduate from a university with atleast a Bachelor’s degree in the functional area you are interested in? (Master’s degree would be preferred)
- Do you have prior international experience e.g internships, student exchange participant etc? (working experience to not exceed 24 months in total)
- Are you looking for pursuing a long term career in the one of our functional areas?
- Are you fluent in English and in a second language?
- Do you have an excellent academic record and a lot of ambition?
- Are you aware of your strengths, have a real desire to develop other capabilities, and have a good sense of humor?
