Qualifications and skills:
· Post graduated qualification in irrigation engineering or related field or a relevant directly related discipline or equivalent
General Professional Experience:
· A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in fields related to this contract
Specific professional experience:
· At least 5 years of experience in irrigation engineering design working on irrigation development programmes;
· Extensive experience with detailed designs of irrigation schemes of different sizes and systems as well as designs of dams and be able to deliver and manage technically oriented training programmes;
Relevant experience in the SADC and/or COMESA region will be a distinctive advantage
