Qualifications and skills:
· Post graduated qualification in climate change/environmental sciences/natural resources management or related field or a relevant directly related discipline or equivalent.
General Professional Experience:
· At least 5 years of experience;
· Proven skills in climate change analysis, interpretation of data preferably in the context of irrigation
· Experience in conducting climate change vulnerability assessments
Specific professional experience:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in climate change, environmental or related fields;
· Specific experience in interpreting meteorological data obtained from a variety of sources and anticipating consequences for sectors, preferably with specific experience in the irrigation sector;
· Experience in identifying available options to respond to the consequences of climate change and be able to deliver and manage technically oriented training programmes;
Experience in the SADC and /or COMESA region will be a distinctive advantage
