Assistant Internal Audit Manager- (Re-advertised) – Illovo Sugar (Malawi) Ltd – Limbe Office
Reporting to the Audit Manager-Central Africa, the successful incumbent will be responsible for providing internal auditing services to Malawi, Tanzania an d Zambia. The job entails extensive travel al accounting for approximately 70% of the working time, Apart from meeting the job specifications, applicants should be willing to travel and be away from home on a regular basis including travel to Illovo operations outside of Malawi
High-risk impact areas are identified and prioritised, Audits are conducted in accordance with the IIA standards and in a professional manner, Reports to management and relevant audit committees are compiled, All entities are complying with statues and company policies, Meaningful and cost-effective recommendations are made to improve control procedures, Organisational units are performing their control functions of planning, accounting, custodial and monitoring to the degree expected, Systems in place are designed so as to provide management with the necessary assurance, Basic internal controls are in place and are being carried out as planned
5 yrs post qualifying auditing experience at a senior level, Possession of a relevant academic and professional qualifications e..g CIA, ACCA, ACIS, CA, CIMA, Experience in a variety of manufacturing and commercial activities with high stock holding, Ale to communicate and deal with colleagues at all levels, Extensive computer literacy on relevant software packages, Valid driving licence and passport
