Position Purpose:
Pact seeks a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Specialist for the anticipated four-year USAID-funded Moving Into The Future With The Youth (PaMawa ndi a Chinyamata or PaMawa) program in Malawi. This position is contingent upon funding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance in MERL and ensure that PaMawa’s monitoring and evaluation system will generate meaningful information on the research questions of interest to USAID and other stakeholders.
• Oversee and implement data collection and processing methodologies, with a focus on data quality.
Basic Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing a monitoring, evaluation and learning system of broadly comparable size and scope to that required for PaMawa. This includes ensuring that PaMawa’s monitoring and evaluation system will generate meaningful information on the research questions of interest to USAID and other stakeholders (see Program Description).
• Demonstrated experience in relevant data collection and processing methodologies, and with regard to ensuring data quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working within Malawi and a demonstrated understanding of the country context.
• Proficiency in Chichewa and/or another local language.
