Liaising with internal and external auditors and dealing with any finical irregularities as they arise, Preparing financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, Preparing financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting, Advising on tax and treasury issues, Supervision of Finance Dept, Cash flow management, Debtors and Creditors management, Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register, Formulation of budgets , control and reviews, Ensuring compliance with Regulatory bodies such RBM, Insurance Association, FIU etc, Any other duties as assigned from time to time
Bachelors Degree in Accountancy from a recognised University, A qualified Chartered Accountant i.e. ACCA or CIMA, 3 yrs experience in a busy office, those with an insurance background will have an added advantage
High level of integrity, Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, Strong customer care background and experience with positive personal attitude to work and people, Mature, self starter, goal oriented and decision maker, Computer literacy is a must

Claims Manager- Prime Insurance Company Limited
Shall be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and shall be responsible for the management of claims service in the company
Overseeing and following through day to day operations of the claims department, Providing technical guidance and give advice on claims as required from time to time, Reviewing, analysing and interpreting insurance policies and relevant law vis-à-vis claims lodge don the organisation, Making sure that claims are dealt with in accordance with financial services industry regulations, Working on complex or fraudulent cases that need experience and specialist knowledge, Maintaining quality and customer service standards, Negotiate claims settlement of up to a certain level according to the company’s claims policy, Ensuring that records are accurately kept, Appointing, liaising with and monitoring and reviewing assessors, lawyers, intermediaries and other service providers relevant to claims operations, Managing and ensuring efficient running of claims recoveries services, Review of claims to ensure proper reserving and update, Ensuring compliance with
Reinsurance programme relevant to claims, Ensuring timely production and reliability of claims management information, Authorise closure of files after settlement and in exceptional cases, re-open of the files, Managing and motivating claims staff and dealing with training needs relevant to claims, Dealing with customer complaints and appeals, Undertake any task within the incumbent’s skills and capabilities which the incumbent may be called upon to fulfil by management
Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIISA, Minimum of 45 yrs intensive experience in claims handling and management in a busy organisation, Strong background of legal knowledge will be an added advantage
High level off integrity, Good spoken and written communication skills, Strong customer care background and experience with positive personal attitude to work and people, Mature, self starter, goal oriented and decision maker, Computer literacy is a must, The ability to lead and motivate a team, Organisational skills, A calm and assertive manner when dealing with complaints, The ability to analyse information, Respect for confidential information
