District Nutrition Coordinator - 1 post – Mangchi – Save the Children
Reporting to the Project Manager, the District Nutrition Coordinator will provide district level strategic leadership to ensure effective project implementation, coordination and management in strengthening technical quality in nutrition intervention delivery, S/he will work closely with district council ensuring mainstreaming of nutrition at district level in the plans of all sectors – health, Agriculture, Community Development and Social Welfare and Education, she will also be involved in strengthening partnership with District Council, relevant Govt depts., NGOs and the community in implementation of nutrition interventions. S/he will strengthen documentation of nutrition program experience and lessons learned and advocate for their scale up. In addition the District Nutrition Coordinator will provide support in the preparation of project progress reports and works in close collaboration with the Save the Children’s Nutrition Team
The applicant should have minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Education or public Health with a minimum of 3 yrs of practical experience in nutrition related interventions, S/he should have practical experience with behaviour change communication methods and familiarity with Scaling up nutrition (SUN), nutrition education, and Communication strategy (NECS) implementation frameworks
