Nutrition Officer with Nursing background, Chipatala cha pa Foni Program – Village Reach – Balaka

VillageReach invites applications for a full time Nutrition Officer with nursing qualifications support the operations of Chipatala cha pa Foni (CCPF) Project. Based in Balaka District, the officer will oversee the development of quality nutrition-related mobile messaging content and provide expert guidance to hotline operations on nutrition advice in addition to the provision of general health advice to CCPF clients
Will work closely with the CCPF Project manager to support day to day operations for the CCPF and the Nutrition Initiative in Malawi , In this role, he or she will be responsible for the following
Providing nutrition and general health advice and guidance to CCPF clients in the hotline, Acting as a point of reference an don site consultant for hotline workers in all areas related to hotline workers, Participating in quality assurance activities including review of hotline calls and provisions of feedback to hotline workers, Coordinating with VilageReach’s nutrition partners in Malawi to ensure strong collaboration, project progress and timely completion of all project deliverables, Coordinating relevant Nutrition related project meetings and ensuring communications and updates with project partners and stakeholders, Assuring nutrition content is in line with current Malawi nutrition policy and approved best practices, Conducting focus group interviews, analysing data collected and making recommendations for adjustments to content based on these data, Representing VillageReach and Health Initiative at various relevant nutrition forums locally,
Carrying out project timelines and activities with an eye for high quality deliverables and community impact, Perform any other duties as assigned by the CCPF Project manager
Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery with extensive training knowledge and skills in Nutrition with at least 2 yrs work experience in implementing nutrition programmes Those with Bachelors Degree in Nutrition will have an added advantage
