Senior Exports Supervisor – Trans Maritime – Blantyre
Applicants must have an MSCE or its equivalent and an Advanced Diploma in Shipping, Freight forwarding and Customs Clearing with at least 5 yrs experience must have a valid driving licence class EB and good computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office etc Holders of Asycuda Training Certificate will have added advantage
The successful person will among other things be responsible for road freight exports and airfreight exports, Supervising the execution of logistics works, Ensuring a smooth transfer of job files from shipping desks to clearing an d invoicing officers, Booking Shipments with Shipping lines, Port liaison, Managing the operational relationship with clients, Keeping clients informed on status of their containers, , Alerting/informing management of significant operational issues (impact of quality of service and invoicing), Delivery and tracking of service invoices, Managing communication between overborder offices, local head office and border offices, Excellent working understanding of shipping lines booking procedures and export procedures, Management of export warehouses including staff and ensuring targets are set and met, monthly Management Report, Adhering to strict Management and operational deadlines
A hands-on person mature and results oriented with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills is a preferred person Should also have proven ability of working with minimum supervision within very tight deadlines and at odd hours
