Accountant
Accountant – (Project) 3 yrs contract, Lilongwe – ActionAid Malawi
We seek t recruit a suitable person to provide technical support to National and Multi country projects and partners on financial planning and budget utilisation and reporting for the implementation of donor funded national projects and capacity development of national partners, this position reports to Finance Manager (Projects)
Plan and budget for Projects, Reports on utilisation of Financial resources and Reporting , Grants Management, Reviews and recommends partners budgets and fundraising proposals, Builds and reviews the financial management capacity of partners, Ensures compliance with established ActionAID Malawi financial policies, Maintains a financial information management and reporting system, Prepares finical statements for internal or external auditors as required
Applications are invited from suitable candidates with a demonstrable track record in projects financial management, Demonstrable competence in provision of financial support services, analysis and development of reports, capacity building in financial management, Knowledge of computer based accounting package such as SUN is expected, Proven experience in producing budgets and finical reports for use by management and donors, The preferred candidate will show evidence of empathy with ActionAid’s values
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance and be Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CIMA and CPA) or equivalent and a minimum of 3 yrs related experience
