Oral and written communication skills, facilitation and negotiation skills, Be self starter and effective team player, Ability to work effectively with adolescent populations, Clear understanding of HIV Testing and Counselling, a Certificate in HIV Testing and counselling and a minimum of 1 yr experience in a clinical setting
Provide any other duty as needed to ensure quality provision of VCT services, Assist with provision of post-test services as required, Promotion/speaking about VCT services as required, Weekly written reporting to the HTC Officer is required, Responsible for keeping confidential information of the clients and maintaining confidentiality at all times, Ensure and monitor appropriate referral of clients to psycho-social support, care and treatment, Provision of continued psychosocial sport when requested by clients, Disclosure counselling for adolescents and adults, Conduct HIV paid testing and finger prick blood draw, Provision of pre-test and post-test voluntary HIV testing and counselling to clients as per national protocol
The HIV Testing and Counselling (HTC) Counsellor will be responsible for delivery of HTC services to clients and as per National HTC guidelines
