Peace Corps, an International Voluntary Agency of the US Govt has an immediate opening for a Training Assistant.  The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the program and training team to plan, prepare, and provide top-notch raining to American Peace Corps Trainees and Volunteers and their counterparts throughout the Volunteer lifecycle.  This support will include General Training of Trainers, Language Training of Trainers, Pre-Service Training, In-Service trainings, Mid Service Trainings and Completion of Service conferences and all other major training needs events sponsored by Peace corps Malawi,  under the supervision of the Training Manager, the training Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program and Training staff in the execution of all of their duties related to the management of Peace corps training events, He/she will assist in the design and delivery of training sessions relating to cross culture and technical components as well as provide feedback and advice in effective training methods
 
Suitable candidate will be highly motivated and pay close attention to detail
 
Minimum 3 yrs of training experience in a multicultural setting required, Previous experience with an International Organisation,  Successful completion of Bachelors Degree in Education, Health, Environment or related development studies, Knowledge of and experience in using adult learning and participatory methods, Experience in managing budgets and training logistics, Excellent Organisational and Administrative skills, Excellent personal skills: flexibility, adaptable, reliable, sense of humour, sensitivity to gender and diversity issues, Ability o work with minimum supervision, Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven office environment with strong attention to detail and follow up skills, Fluent in written and spoken English, Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Willingness to work at odd hours
 
Strong interpersonal /communication skills
