Save the Children has worked in Malawi for 30 yrs and is currently operating in 20 out of 29 districts covering all regions, The core programming areas are Maternal and Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Education and Child Development, Child Protection and Child Rights Governance, Food and Livelihoods Security, Social Protection and Emergency Response, We remain committed to developing strong partnerships to ensure that all children in Malawi thrive in a safe family environment and benefit from greater public investment and better use of society’s resources in realising their right to protection from violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect


We invite qualified, highly motivated and well experienced persons to apply for the following positions

Food Security and Livelihood Coordinator – to be based in Zomba

The position is available for 12 months

The Food Security ad Livelihoods Coordinator will report to Senior Programme Manger – ECHO and will be responsible for  providing technical leadership and implementation of SCI-ECHO programme, S/he should have knowledge in developing monthly, quarterly and yearly detailed program activity implementation plans on  food security and livelihood interventions and also provide technical leadership and guidance in the implementation interventions, The candidate will be responsible in facilitating community mobilisation, participatory assessment, opportunities and demand in local area to make sure that the project is owned by the community

The applicant should have a minimum of University degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, development Studies and other relevant field, S/he should have at least 3 yrs experience in Food Security and livelihood programming and should be a self starter, Humanitarian context experience will also have an advantage
