Internal Auditor
The Nurses and Midwives of Council of Malawi (NMCM) invites suitably qualified candidates of Malawian Nationality to fill the vacant post of internal Auditor tenable at NMCM Offices in Lilongwe, This is a challenging position requiring a professionally qualified and experienced person who is visionary and dynamic
Ensure best practices and ethics in public procurement and risk management in accordance with public procurement act and other relevant laws, Checking of daily receipting and banking of cash, Systematic checking of personal files to ensure that policy and procedures for financial transactions are followed, Checking and ensuring that payrolls/salaries and PAYE are procedurally prepared, remitted and implemented, Identifying anomalies or fraud in respect of failure to liquidate expenses by ensuring that budgets are made in accordance with intended purposes, Updating management on issues of concern in accordance with govt policy with regard to financial prudence, Checking council policies and procedures with its mandate to ensure if they are being followed and implemented
Bachelor of Accountancy with professional qualification such as ACCA, ACCI, membership of the IA bodies would be an advantage with not less than 4 yrs experience of working with a reputable audit firm within Malawi
Honest and trustworthy, At least 3 yrs progressive experience in internal auditing, Good analytical skills, Attention to detail, Excellent written communication and presentation skills, Computer literate with good knowledge of Word, Excel and power Point
