INGO Consortium Senior Programme Manager- ECHO Food Security Programme
This position is available for a period of 12 months
The Senior Manager (SPM) will lead the INGO consortium’s ECHO Food Security Programme in 5 food insecure districts of Malawi, the candidate is to ensure all consortium partners meet or exceed agreed programme targets, including reviewing cross-consortium programme performance data and programme management arrangements on daily basis, identifying and agreeing residual actions, mitigation activities and influencing consortium partners to ensure partner performance is maintained, s/he will be responsible in ensuring that humanitarian international standards and approaches are adhered to such as but not limited to Humanitarian Accountability Partnerships international (HAP-I) Benchmarks, SPHERE, DAC Accountability Framework) and Save the Children’s Child Rights Programming tools and approaches
The applicant should have a University Degree or post graduate qualification in Social Sciences, international Development, or other relevant discipline related to food security and livelihood, S/he should have substantial experience of working and living in Africa, ideally with professional experience in Malawi, The candidate should have  a minimum of 3 yrs experience of ECHO contract management essential, including budget holder responsibilities, s/he should have proven ability to manage consortiums with a minimum of 4 yrs experience managing multi-agency programmes
