CU invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced person t fill the vacant post of Project Manager (2 posts – one for Balaka district and the other for Dedza District

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project in the district, S/he will manage the human financial and other resources available to the project and is responsible for creating and nurturing a team that will successfully implement the project in the district

Supervises the work of all project staff, Plans project activities with staff based  on project logical frameworks and budgets, Oversees the smooth implementation and management of panned activities including fiancés, Ensures that effective monitoring systems are in place and used by all stakeholders, Ensures that there is collaboration and networking with all partners, including govt, during all processes of project implementation, Appraises staff who directly reports to him/her and ensure that all staff in the project are appraised by their line managers, Prepares project reports for submission to Programme Manager and other stakeholders, Performs any other duties as assigned by the Programme Manager

At last Bachelors Degree in relevant field (Climate Change, Natural Resources Management, Social Science, Agriculture), At least 5 yrs experience in managing rural development projects, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Excellent coordination and networking skills, Excellent report writing skills, Interested to work in rural parts of Malawi, Knowledge of Govt of Malawi policy on relevant field, Fluency in spoken and written English and Chichewa
