CBBC is the BBC’s multiplatform offering for 6-12 year olds bringing the very best drama, entertainment and factual programmes to its young viewers. The majority of our output is UK-made, reflecting children’s lives in the UK today. Popular programmes on the channel include Horrible Histories, Deadly 60, Wizards Vs Aliens, and The Dumping Ground as well as long-running favourites Blue Peter and Newsround. CBBC is the most-loved and most-watched channel of children in its target age group. CBBC aims to encourage children to find out more about existing interests and inspire them to develop new ones; helps them understand the world around them and entertains when they just want to relax.

CBeebies is dedicated to delighting and surprising its young audience and it remains the UK's most watched and most loved channel for the under-sixes. Our most popular shows include In the Night Garden, Something Special, Octonauts, Justin’s House and Waybuloo. The CBeebies website is also hugely popular with our young audience and their parents and helps extend the ‘learning through play’ philosophy, and we’ve just launched the first CBeebies ‘Playtime’ app.

BBC Children's Interactive is now looking for a flexible, creative and highly motivated Content Producer to join our dynamic team.

Role Responsibility

Your role will be to work with a Senior Content Producer or Development Producer as well as editorial and technical teams building ground breaking new content that combines creative vision and technological innovation, feeding into the BBC's priorities.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll have experience of managing / designing / building high-quality interactive products, websites and /or complex database-driven systems on digital media platforms. You’ll have a high degree of Internet and computer literacy and an excellent understanding of various digital media platforms, including the web digital TV and mobile, as well as an understanding of appropriate technical architecture, systems and software development methods and / or appropriate interaction design techniques and methods. You’ll have basic filming and editing skills as well as project management skills, especially in an agile environment and the ability to work in partnership with colleagues across the organisation and beyond, building and maintaining effective working relationships.
