Career Opportunities WITH Illovo Sugar

Illovo Sugar is a leading, global, low-cost sugar producer and a significant manufacturer of high-value downstream products. The Group is Africa’s biggest sugar producer and has extensive agricultural and manufacturing operations in six African countries. Typical positions include: 

Financial Managers (Ill/01) 
Requirements: B.Com., B Compt, or C.A.(S.A.) with at least 5 years’ post graduate experience.

Mechanical /Electrical Engineers (Ill/02) 
Requirements: B.Sc.Eng., B.Tech. or NHD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years’ post graduate experience, GCC. 

Process Engineers (Ill/03) 
Requirements: B.Sc.Chem.Eng., B.Tech. or NHD in Chemical Engineering with at least 5 years’ post graduate experience. Engineering experience should preferably have been obtained in a Sugar or Heavy Industry environment.

Artisans (SA Operations only) (Ill/04)
Range of disciplines: Fitting, Boilermaking, Electrical, Instruments and Millwright 
A completed, recognised apprenticeship and trade test with N3, and at least 3 years’ experience as a qualified artisan. Willingness to work overtime and standby (callouts). Electricians should have a Wireman’s Licence.
