The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to participate in basic and applied projects analyzing the molecular genetics, evolution and adaptaion of lager yeast. The project uses state-of-the-art methodology including diagnostic PCR and FACS-analyses of strains used for yeast breeding, genomics, and synthetic design.
The project aims at increasing our knowledge on consequences of molecular genetic alterations on the physiology of brewer’s yeast cells during fermentation.
We offer a position in a world-class scientific institute in a multi-national team-oriented environment.
A PhD in molecular fungal biology is required including a strong background in molecular genetics and microbiology. Knowledge on yeast physiology and fermentation is a plus.
