The primary purpose of this role is to provide clinical support to a three year DFID (UK Department for International Development) funded programme in Malawi aimed at “Increasing survival and reducing poverty of 3000 disabled children and adults in Malawi”. The Regional Clinician will work alongside the Motivation team and wheelchair service partners to understand the current state of wheelchair service provision in order to develop wheelchair services for adults and children in 3 regions of Malawi, in accordance with the World Health Organisation 'Guidelines on the provision of Manual Wheelchairs in less resourced settings'.
We are hoping to hold interviews in October and November 2013 with the view of some one starting in December 2013/January 2014.
You will be part of Motivation’s Technical Resource Team and based in Blantyre, Malawi and therefore also required to support the delivery of training globally.
