BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation, is looking for a Project Manager to champion and manage projects for regional businesses and dedicated functions: Rights, Content, Asset Management and Fulfilment. Based in the Media Centre, you’ll successfully deliver technology change projects required in these areas, managing and creating proactive, enthusiastic and delivery oriented project teams within a matrix reporting structure.
Role Responsibility
As a Project Manager you’ll actively build and sustain key stakeholder relationships, taking ownership of project delivery and assessing business satisfaction with delivered results. Your role will be to control and report progress against milestones, budget, resources, risks and issues and take action to mitigate any threats to success. Working within agile and waterfall project processes and leading one or multiple projects concurrently, you’ll allocate tasks to assigned resources in order to ensure that all projects meet agreed quality, cost and timescale parameters to realise benefits that align with the project sponsors expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for an individual with a MSP, APM/PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management qualification in addition to extensive experience of managing business change and technology projects with specific experience of in-house and 3rd party software deliveries. With substantial project delivery experience within a multi-national organisation you’ll demonstrate excellent technical and commercial awareness. Knowledge of media specific processes and platforms is desirable but not essential.
