Customer Services Officer

The British Council in Malawi is looking for a suitably qualified individual to join their team.

Purpose of Job
To deliver a positive experience to any British Council customer by delivering an effective, efficient, quality driven and integrated response on the full range of Council activities and services in Malawi. To lead on furthering our interactions with customers and other interested parties through social media, the internet and other virtual means.

Context and Environment
British Council in Malawi has two offices - Lilongwe and Blantyre. In Lilongwe the office moved from the city centre to the High Commission in Area 40 on 1 April. In Blantyre, the office is at Ryalls Protea Hotel on Hannover Street. Both locations have limited ability to service customers face to face, necessitating the need to explore virtual avenues. British Council’s aim is to build cultural and educational relations between Malawi and the UK. Our core business in Malawi is Education, English language and Examinations.
