Communication Officers
USAID-funded Malawi Early Grade Reading Improvement Activity (MERIT), the fie yr project will work closely with and support the Gov of Malawi’s scale up and implementation of a national education model that improves early grade reading instruction and educational outcomes, Positions are based in Lilongwe but will be expected to travel to districts across Malawi, Successful candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills including fluency in English
Communication Officers will be responsible for working with both consortium and govt partners to develop a communications strategy that raises awareness and the Ministry’s implementation of reading programs, encourages community support and strengthens reading culture in the country, Responsible for drafting publicity material, success stores etc
Masters Degree and 6 yrs of experience or Bachelors Degree and 10 yrs of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, must have 5 yrs of experience design and successfully implementing communication strategies and media outreach events, previous experience in USAID programs an advantage
