Regional Business Development Manager (Ref INT 2003) – South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe or Mozambique – 2yr fixed term contract
Essential for consideration is demonstrable experience and success in engaging with bilateral and multilateral donors, coupled with strong networking and negotiation skills, familiarity with govt decision-making processes (political and technical, budget processes, appropriation, protocols, and communications) and the ability to make effective, timely decision and take prudent risks, Fluency in written and spoken English is imperative, with fluency in Portuguese would be desirable
The Regional Business Development manager supports the Regional Director to provide strategic leadership ion resource mobilisation across all countries in the region, The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing regional resource mobilisation strategies, supporting the Regional Director and Country Director to build partnerships with regional donors, the private sector and civil society stakeholders, and identifying new entrepreneurial approaches and innovative funding opportunities The appointee will proactively engage with programme staff to identify and develop innovative and high quality programmes that match the prevailing funding environment
