- The purpose of this role is to manage and implement a wide range of Procurement Governance, Compliance, Risk Management and Transformation services within the Group Vendor Management & Procurement (GVM&P in SA, RoA and International) environment of the Bank.
- Manage and implement the Procurement Governance, Control, Risk and Compliance standards within GVM&P.
- Ensure the Procurement standards, policies, and supply chain capabilities across the Source to Pay Lifecycle are understood and embedded in GVM&P through defined business transformation plans.
- Ensure standardization and continuous improvement through the deployment of appropriate Standards, Policies and Procedures in GVM&P across the Source to Pay Lifecycle.
Conduct the audits set out in the auditing program for GVM&P
- Manage, implement, review and maintain the Procurement Policies, Procedures, Capabilities and Standards for GVM&P

- Implement the training program for GVM&P based on the Procurement Policies and Minimum Standards, Risk and Control Standards, Compliance Standards and the Capability and Maturity Framework
- Manage and implement the Procurement programs across the end-to-end value chain based on the capability and maturity framework and minimum standards defined for GVM&P
Procurement Risk Management and Compliance- Manage and implement the auditing program and principles (Risk, Compliance, Process, other) in GVM&P
- Manage and implement Statutory requirements in GVM&P based on the Risk and Compliance Framework
- Conduct Process, Compliance and Risk Audits in accordance with the defined audit plan and capability framework
- Review audit reports for GVM&P as issued through Internal or External Audit and manage as input for standardization and improvement
- Implement effective processes / controls for the investigation of identified instances of non-compliance based on audits conducted.
- Report on the Audit, Risk, Compliance, Statutory and Capability framework as required based in the defined audit program.
Black Economic Empowerment / Localisation- Implement the SBG Transformation and Localisation strategy in GVMP
- Ensure that all Preferential Procurement / Localisation standards are implemented effectively

Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge
- MCIPS is preferable
- B.Com (Economics & Econometrics), or Risk related diploma/degree or equivalent
Experience
- 5-8 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management is preferable
- Experience of banking and or financial services sector
- Experience in working in a multi discipline team fostering collaboration and team work
- Experience in compliance monitoring, risk management and business process auditing activities.
- Extensive knowledge of the BBBEE Act / Localisation requirements and interpretation of such
- Understanding of Procurement Governance and Structures
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management (Procurement Value Chain, Operating Models, Governance, etc)

Working conditions
The role requires travel within many of the Bank's legal entities across Sub Saharan Africa and the International Operations. This can be up to 50% of the time in any given period, although generally not for more than 2-3 days at a time.
