Description:
The Lead Program Management Specialist –Reproductive Health/Family Planning (RH/FP) will be responsible for the design, implementation and technical quality of all RH and FP activities on the project. The position will be based in Malawi and will report to the Chief of Party or Deputy Chief of Party. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval as a key personnel.
Job Summary / Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of the RH/FP project’s activities, based on a strong understanding of the country context, ongoing constraints on youth access to RH/FP, ongoing efforts to improve access and how to address barriers w/ SBCC.
  • Develop and disseminate age and context-appropriate social and behavior change communication (SBCC) products, activities and messages.
  • Build capacity of staff, implementing partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders in RH/FP.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or higher in public health, international health, health or development communication or a related field required.
  • 5- 10 years’ experience in RH/FP
  • Demonstrated technical capacity for overseeing implementation of RH/FP activities using SBCC
  • Relevant and demonstrated abilities to develop SBCC products and messages
  • Demonstrated understanding of state-of-the-art programming in youth FP/RH related to climate change or other cross cutting sector linkages desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, depth and breadth of technical and management expertise and experience.
