Welthungerhilfe seeks to employ a duly qualified and experienced person repsonse to planned extension of activities in Malawi and therefore invites applications from Malawian nationals for the position of Accountant (1 post based in Lilongwe)
Duration – 1 yr with possibility of extension
Start date – ASAP
Management of Finances of Welthungerhilfe in Malawi, Handling all personnel and human resources matters, Managing project asset delivery,, Conducting monthly bank reconciliations, Maintaining financial and accounting records, Ensuring positive cash and bank balances, Preparing project financial reports for submission to regional office and HQ in Germany, Provide financial procedures to ensure compliance
Holder of Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Management/Qualified CCA or CIMA, At least 5 yrs work experience in providing analytical/technical, Support, preparation of budgets and forecasts, financial management, and financial audit, Integrity and high degree of honesty, Ability to multi task and work within deadlines, Strong analytical and statistical skills, Practical experience with the use of ledger accounting packages, referable W INPACS, Be proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point, Excellent command of English (spoken and written), Valid driver’s licence and passport.
