Salary : £33,230 to £45,941 per annum
Hours per week : Full-time
You will make a significant teaching contribution to the optometry degree programmes offered by the university: BSc (Hons) in Optometry, and Master of Optometry.
You will deliver teaching through a variety of means including lectures, clinical practicals, small group tutorials and e-learning initiatives, and will be expected to innovate in each of these areas. There may also be a requirement to teach on related initiatives such as Continuing Professional Development modules or the taught Master of Science degree in Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences. You will work alongside full-time academics and visiting staff to contribute to all aspects of teaching including course design, development of teaching materials, delivery, assessment and administration.
Applicants must have a degree in optometry (or equivalent) and be currently registered with the General Optical Council to practice in the UK.
This post is available from 1 February 2014 for a fixed term of 18 months.
