Remuneration and Benefits Manager - Africa

Purpose of the Role:             
To manage the Remuneration, Benefits and Human Resource Information systems and processes for the Group.

1.     MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
·         Degree in HR Management, or
·         Degree in Social Sciences, or
·         Degree in Business Management
Experience
At least 5 - 10 years’ experience in a related role, of which 5 should have been at a management level

2.     WORK OUTPUT DESCRIPTION        

Key Performance Areas
Remuneration & Benefits:

·         Conduct annual salary surveys and trend analyses and make suitable remuneration recommendations
·         Develop new salary models
·         Maintain and update salary scales
·         Liaise with sites/operations for annual wage negotiations for bargaining units and mandating process.
·         Advise managers and supervisors about remuneration & benefits packages
·         Manage the implementation of salary recommendations (in conjunction with Line Managers)
·         Authorise employee promotions, movements, transfers, etc.
·         Evaluate new positions and salaries (in conjunction with GM’s and Corporate)
·         Review Payroll information (Salary increases, etc.)
·         Advise Line on Expat remuneration and benefits
·         Prepare reports, presentations, data etc. for REMCO, as required.

Reward and Recognition:
·         Manage Reward and Recognition process
·         Develop corporate office labour budget with various Functional Heads.
·         Have oversight of Group labour budget

HR Information System:
·         Manage the implementation of HR Systems within the Group
·         Ensure data integrity of the HR Information System
·         Approve Organisational structures on the HR system
·         Create, maintain and update Organisational structures on the system
·         Responsible for Management of Payroll function

HC Annual Budgeting process:
·         Prepare the HC departmental annual budget in line with the annual budgeting process
·         Working with HC Executive and other HC leads to compile departmental budget for corporate office.
·         Submit labour budgets and costs to Finance for annual Budgeting process

Regularly travel to the Operations in the DRC and Zambia will be required.
