District HTC Program Officer- Zomba – Baylor Children’s Foundation – Malawi 

Provide technical support to the district HTC Coordinator to ensure high quality HTC activities,  the officer will coordinate the naming, implementation and evaluation of quality HIIV testing and counselling and provider-initiated testing and counselling (PITC) services in the district 

Develop monthly and quarterly workplans and submit to the supervisor, Conduct ongoing HTC needs assessment and organise support based on the identified needs Collaborate with district HTC coordinator in planning joint mentoring/supervision, trainings and QA/QC activities, Strengthen PITC, family testing and pediatric case finding in supported HFs

Conduct HTC training needs assessment and support HTC capacity building efforts in the district, Provide on-the-job mentoring and supervision to HTC providers in partnership with the district HTC coordinator and environmental health officer, Strengthen quality of testing by implementing quality assurance standard protocols and SOPs, Liaise with district and Zonal HTC coordinators for regular test kits, Quality Control (QC) and Proficiency Test (PT) supplies, Ensure that the optimal standard of care is achieved by establishing and maintaining the use of nationally approved clinical guidelines and protocols and evidence based practices, Assist in the development of training and mentorship tools 
Submit monthly reports to the supervisor, Complete all mentorship forms of the sites accurately and on time, Strengthen HTC data management in line with the HMIS, Collaborate with the MOH District HTC Coordinator in monitoring of the program, and use of data for decision-making at district and site levels 

Other tasks as identified by supervisor 

Diploma in health related field, Community development training or experience, Experience leading a team of staff a plus, Experinice with HIV/AIDS prevention, counselling, care and support, Certified HTC provider, Passed HTC supervisory training, Strong interpersonal skills to engage community members, Fluent in Chichewa and English, Computer skills in Microsoft Word as a minimum 

Infrastructure Coordinator – Southeast zone (Zomba, Mchinga, Mangochi, Balaka, Phalombe and Mulanje) - Baylor  Children’s Foundation – Malawi 

The BCM-CFM Tingathe program seeks a motivated infrastructure improvement Coordinator to oversee construction, infrastructure improvements, and infrastructure maintenance at health facilities being served by the BCM-CFM Tingathe program 

Several yrs experience with construction or infrastructure projects in Malawi, Experience leading and supervising teams of construction workers/artisans, Hands-on experience refurbishing containers a plus, Experience with drafting of plans, obtaining building permits and transporting materials (including containers) to desired locations, Understanding of what different types of renovations should cots, and knowledge and experience to make recommendations for renovations given materials/time/money available, Able to coordinate meetings with district and local stakeholders to assess needs and develop consensus around projects, Familiar with tendering process for contractors 

Experience in selecting and procuring construction supplies, and knowledge of what manufacturers have the best products, Experience managing and ordering supplies for stores (including construction material and smaller items, such as stationery) a plus, Experience in assessing and short-listing vendors and suppliers a plus 

Degree in Architecture a plus, Experience with construction and contracting, Able to organise and set deadlines, Able to work independently and manage multiple projects at once, Able to review contracts and negotiate and liaise with contractors, able to spend several days/weeks on the road between projects
