Lead Program Management Specialist – climate Change Adaptation, Malawi, reporting to Chief of Party 

The Lead Program Management Specialist will provide technical leadership on climate change adaptation activities for the duration of this multi-year program 

Bachelor level qualification in disaster management, disaster risk reduction, international development, project management, or related field from a recognised university, Minimum 5 yrs experience in the delivery and management of humanitarian and/or development programmes, with experience in disaster preparedness and mitigation programmes, Demonstrated technical capacity for overseeing implementation of adaptation activities under PaMawa, this includes knowledge of the physical science of observed and projected climate change and associated development impacts, vulnerability analysis and the design and implementation of adaptive response options.  An understanding of the linkages between climate change and other areas of development investment is also essential, Strong technical communication abilities, Behaviour change communication is central to Pa Maw’s objectives, The lead Program Management Specialist for Adaptation must possess relevant and
 demonstrated abilities to develop and disseminate age and context appropriate communication products and messages
Proficiency in Chichewa and/or another local language 

Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Specialist, Malawi, reporting to Chief of Party 

The monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Specialist will provide technical leadership and guidance on MERL activities for the duration of this multi-year program 
Bachelor level qualification in project management, social sciences, development studies or relate field from a recognised university, Minimum 5 yrs experience in the delivery and management of humanitarian and/or development programmes, with experience in disaster preparedness and mitigation programmes, Demonstrated experience in overseeing a monitoring, evaluation and learning system of broadly comparable size and scope to that required for PaMawa.  This includes ensuring that PaMawa’s monitoring and evaluation system will generate meaningful information on the research questions of interest to USAID and other stakeholders (see Program Description), Demonstrated experience in relevant data collection and processing methodologies, and with regard to ensuring data quality 

Experience working within Malawi and a demonstrated understanding of the country context, Proficiency in Chichewa and/or another local language
