HIV and AIDS Clinical Mentor (several positions)

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the HIV/AIDS  Clinical Mentor will work closely with the MOH Zonal HIV and HTC Supervisors to enhance the capacity of the HMTS s and District HIV/AIDS Coordinators to plan and implement the scaling up and quality improvement of HTC, TB/HIV integration, PMTCT, ART cervical cancer screening and Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision (VMMC) services in district health facilities, provide direct technical assistance to health care facilities supported by MSH.  Such assistance might include: site development, training staff in the clinical management of individuals with HIV/AIDS, clinical mentoring, patient flow analysis, improvement of adherence support systems, improvement of referral systems, etc assist health care providers at designated points of service in case finding and strengthening entry points in order to increase the number of clients tested and referred for care and treatment, participate in the development of
materials related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment, including clinical guidelines, protocols, algorithms and other necessary tools, develop yearly and quarterly HIV district plans in liaison with the DHMTs and program coordinators, responsible for HIV and TB programs derived from DIPs in line with MSH yearly plan, attend monthly coordination meetings with DHMT and extended DHMT at district level, participate in the national quarterly ART//PMTCT supervision conducted by the Dept of HIV and AIDS, participate  in DIP planning process and Bi-annual DIP reviews at district level, represent MSH Project Director or Deputy Director at DEC meetings at District Assembly, write and submit monthly project progress reports to the Deputy Project Director for MSH and DHMT, coordinate with the District Pharmacy Technician to monitor the supply chain management of HIV drugs and other commodities to ensure that there are not stock outs or expired drugs and commodities 

Clinical Officer, public health training is desirable , Experience working at the district level in MOH health facilities, HIV and AIDS service delivery experience, Minimum 5 yrs working in health sector in Malawi, Proven programmatic, technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues, demonstrated clinic competence and experience in HIV/AIDS, Ability to travel o health facilities in the MSH assigned district and to MSH SDQI meeting and reviews in Lilongwe
