Star-Senior Program Manager
STAR Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, implementation and reporting for ground breaking project in social marketing of HIV oral fluid tests for self testing
Develop, implement and monitor detailed STAR work plan to achieve established STAR project targets, Monitor and control project expenditure against project budget and report on financial position on monthly basis and report to Head of HIV, develop monthly and quarterly project reports and report to the Head of HIV, work hand in hand with the Malawi Liverpool Welcome Trust to ensure all research activities undertaken by Malawi Liverpool Welcome trust are delivered on time, Establish STAR hotline and ensure robust systems are in place to sport callers and capture data, Ensure adequate community liaison and buy in prior to community level launch of projects activities, In collaboration with STAR Training Officer plan and oversee implementation of trainings for community-based distribution agents (CDBA) at community level and peer educators in HIV oral fluid tests for, self testing procedures, Supervise M&E Officers in ongoing data collection, quarterly and semi-annual and annual reporting, Ensure that quarterly routine data quality assessments are undertaken to ensure high quality reporting at all levels of the project, Liaise with RH, SF and HIV teams for progress review and planning purposes, Manage project commodities and ensure appropriate management of program income associated with the sale of commodities and adequate supply for program implementation, liaise with communications, research, M&E procurement, HR, administration and finance to guide implementation of all STAR activities, Participate in MOH technical and donor meetings as requested by the Head of Department, Provide administrative assistance during STAR meeting, events, trainings and other program activities
Relevant graduate degree and at least 5 yrs of relevant professional experience, Prior HIV program implementation and supervisory experience required, Experience in HIV project management with NGOs preferred, Clear understanding of the Malawian HIV epidemic and operating environment, Experience with different donor reporting requirements and procedures, Strong presentation and facilitation skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time, Be self starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result oriented track record.
SIFPO Senior Program Manager – PSI Malawi
SIFPO Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, implementation and reporting
Manage learning needs assessment, training and follow-up mentoring for STI, HTC and ART initiation for outreach and TUNZA providers in collaboration with Social Franchise, HIV and RH Managers, Implement workplan activities and ensure achievement of targets for all SIFPO activities, Liaise with Reproductive Health, Social Franchise and HIV teams for progress review and planning purposes, Manage project budget and ensure expenditure against targets, Ensure that all SIFPO2 activities are carried out in compliance with the PSI Family Planning Compliance Plan, Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plan and the approved workplan, Liaise with communications, research, M&E, procurement, HR, administration and finance to guide implementation of all SIFPO activities, Manage HIV and RH commodities in partnership with the HIV Dept and USAID, respectively, Ensure appropriate management of program income associated with the sale of commodities and adequate supply for program implementation, Monitor program results and recommend changes to implementation strategy as required, Participate in MOH technical and donor meetings as requested by the Head of Dept, Supervise YFHS Coordinator and M&E Officers, Establish dotted-line relationship with the HIV Program Manager to manage HTC activities, Supervise M&E Officers in ongoing data reporting, quarterly and semi-annual and annual PEPFAR reporting, Ensure that quarterly routine data assessments are undertaken to ensure high quality reporting at all levels of the project, With support from the M&E Technical Lead, design a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system to ensure all PEPFAR and MOH reporting requirements for SIFPO2 are fully met, Lead introductory activities, including national and district level meetings with partners working in HIV and Key populations to create, demand and facilitate referral, liaise with Ministry for Health and other stakeholders for project introductory meetings at national and district level
