St Andrews Hospital is a non-profit organisation under 3 arms of partnership – Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi, Medic Malawi (UK based major donor0 and Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). The hospital is one of the fastest growing health institutions serving a population of 826,285 people with OPD, paediatric, male and female wards, maternity services, surgery dept, nutrition rehabilitation unit, primary health care, HTC, eye and ART Clinic, St Andrews Hospital is a Christian organisation and desires to integrate Biblical principles into its organisational structure, relationships and activities, One of these principles is unity
Our vision is to provide quality health care for all and have people healed physically, mentally and spiritually by applying holistic approach to all problems as inspired by the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, And our mission statement is to follow Jesus Christ’s Healing ministry by providing accessible, affordable, quality, sustainable and gender sensitive health services for the benefit of all people within St Andrews Hospital catchment area and beyond, As such St Andrew’s Community Hospital wishes to recruit a suitably qualified, dedicated and high integrity person to fill the position of a Clinical Officer, This position will work with a team of other qualified medical providers to provide in-patient and out-patient services, We are looking for Clinician with a heart to service the poor, a desire to learn, grow and teach other technical staff, The candidate should be flexible and be prepared to work on shifts which would include weekends and
evening hours
Provide clinical management for patients in ward and OPD, Provide antiretroviral medications in line with National ART guidelines, Keep accurate and complete records of patient care encounter, Manage maternity department (obstratics, labour ward, pre-natal and post-natal), Manage Malnutrition related illness in kids and adults, And do all services assigned his/her office in relation to patent care delivery
Must be of sober mind with good standing with his/her church, Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Current Registration with the Medical Council or Malawi, Specialised Training in ART, Minimum of 3-4 yrs prior experience in similar hospital setting, Those with experience in reproductive health will be preferred
A competitive remuneration packages commensurate with qualifications and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidates
