Senior ICT Officer - Dignitas International (DI) 

Dignitas International (DI) is a medical and research organisation dedicated to transforming patient health and health care systems for the most vulnerable people 
    
DI works with patients, health care workers, researchers and policymakers to treat patients, mentor medical staff and develop the knowledge base of researchers and govt to catalyse change in local health practice and policy. 

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and with support from USAID, DI is expanding the care and treatment component of its programme for delivery of HIV TB and related – care in the South East Zone (Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi, Mulanje, Phalombe and Zomba Districts), DI currently works with 200+ staff and is seeking to recruit the following positions to start as soon as possible 

S/he ensures that there is internet see, Make sure all technical requirements are in place and the service is available almost all the time, S/he is expected to advise the manager on technical ICT issues including adoption of new technologies, Ensures hardware and software related to internet connections are properly installed, maintained and repaired, Ensure relationships with technicians is well managed to facilitate system troubleshooting from internet access provider, Making sure regular tests on systems are performed and access providers performance, Assess performance of service providers and give technical advice being on performance to migration from one provider to another when needed, Making sure users are supported with file sharing e.g. through cloud servers, Making sure email user accounts on gMail are well set up and maintained, Ensure proper configuration of computers (Outlook) for access to email, Ensure all organisational computers
(windows) are configured to allow access to the network, Making sure all servers and domain are well configured and well managed, As part of a team s/e is expected to develop, organise, implement and evaluate in-house computer trainings, investigate and recommend external training institutions and programs, Ensure daily and weekly backups are done on the servers and eternal drives (for off-site) and also that users are running backups of their computers at least weekly 

Minimum college Diploma in Computer Science or elated qualification, At least 3 yrs work experience with computer networking, systems and repairs, Ability to supervise others
