Community Reproductive Health Promoter (CRHP) – Family Planning Association of Malawi – Lilongwe

Reporting to District Manager

The Community Reproductive Health Promoter is responsible for all community mobilisation and sensitisation in the district, S/he is responsible for ensuring good working relationship between FPAM and the community, S/he acts as a bridge between community and FPAM and ensures FPAM programming is directed to community priority needs, The CRP supervises community volunteers and ensures they have the necessary resources for their work 

Assist the District Manager in planning and conducting community mobilisation and mobile service provision, Develop drama and other elements of market Theatre, Obtain, distribute, record and report number and type of IEC materials, Supervise community peer educators, traditional counsellors, chiefs, CBDAs monthly, Re-supply clients and community volunteers with contraceptives, Hold periodic youth club meetings as defined by the project, Open condom distribution sites for young people and sex workers, Establish and maintain a good working relationships with chiefs, other opinion leaders and traditional counsellors, Assist peer educators in the formation of youth clubs, Assist in counselling young clients in the community and at the Youth life Centre, Handle volunteers’ disputes and resolve them amicably or report to the District Manager for action or direction, Compile community activity reports and monthly reports including those of peer educators, CBD
 agents, anankungwi and akunjira whichever applicable

Should have a minimum of MSCE, Health Surveillance Certificate, Qualification in community Development is an added advantage, Should have at least 2 yrs work experience in community work, Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
