Distribution and Marketing Manager
The Bible Society of Malawi is committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ and the mission of the Christian Church and Church related organisations in Malawi, We make the Scriptures available in various formats and media for worship, witness, discipleship and spiritual growth through Translation, Production, Distribution and Non-print media programmes
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and self motivated Distribution and Marketing Manager with integrity who can work with minimum supervision to manage the Distribution and Marketing Function of the Society, Being a senior management position the person has to be a good team player in contributing to the mission of the Bible Society
A mature Christian in good standing with their local church, Between 30 and 45 yrs old, Have excellent supervisory and team building skills, Creative, innovative and analytical, Trustworthy and reliable with clean and valid driving licence, Have at least 5 yrs relevant experience in a relevant senior position, Able to plan, implement and evaluate results, Able to work with all Christian denominations, Have a minimum of bachelors degree in Marketing or other related and relevant degree, Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Is responsible for effectively, economically and efficiently coordinating and managing the Sales and Distribution, Resource Mobilisation, Marketing, Research and Promotion Programme of the Society in order to ensure that these programmes are relevant and having an impact on many lives and specifically:
Creating and carrying out the Bible Promotion activities of the Society, Formulating and executing the Resource Mobilisation functions of the Society, Carrying out the Research activities of the Society, Carrying out the Marketing functions of the Society, Coordinating the Scripture Distribution and Sales programmes of the Society
Remuneration commensurate with the position and consistent with the Society will be offered to the successful candidate, Those with project management skills will have an added advantage
