Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) is an NGO the provides primary health care services targeting prevention, care and support in communities affected by HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria, GAIA works in collaboration with the District Health Offices of the Ministry of Health through the GAIA Mobile Health Clinic program to increase access to health services in high need and under-served rural areas, GAIA provides support for PLHIV, orphans and underprivileged children at a community level, and it promotes retention of staff in the public sector health workforce through provision of the GAIA Nursing Scholarship Program in coordination with the Ministry of Health

GAIA seeks to employ qualified personnel for the position of Data Officer who will be responsible for developing data management systems for the program activities, quality control and quality assurance

Entering, updating and cleaning data in the data base, Developing appropriate data management systems for capturing data, Offering computer training for internal staff and new staff, Ensuring data quality assurance and quality control for all programs, Oversee work of external data collection consultants, student research projects, liaising with the Senior Projects Officer and Country Director as necessary, Assist field in data collection for all new projects, Implementing continuous quality improvement of supply chain and inventory systems, including a drug inventory tracking system and maintaining field office fixed assets inventory, Maintaining field office attendance register

Diploma in Information Analysis and Designing or related field, Strong English language oral and written communication skills, 5 yrs of experience in any of the following: quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation, survey research, and/or data systems management, Ability to work competently and harmoniously within an NGO, Ability to think critically, analyse and resolve problems, Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Conversant with electronic Data Systems development, Willing to learn new software for tracking information, Be willing and able to travel to all program locations in the Southern Region of Malawi
