Human Resources Manager – I-TECH - Country Office - Lilongwe


The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) based in Seattle at the University of Washington was established in 2002, I-TECH is funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Global HIV and AIDS (CDC-DGHA) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) with support from the US President’s Emergency plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), I-TECH activities primarily focus on providing technical assistance to extend existing capacity for Human Resource for Health (HRH) in conjunction with the Govt of Malawi, Ministry of Health (MOH), I_TECH also works with Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) and Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (NMCM) among other stakeholders

I-TECH Malawi wishes to recruit highly qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions to be held at the Country Office in Lilongwe

Human Resources Manager – I-TECH - Country Office - Lilongwe

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations and Compliance (DOC), the Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for developing systems and providing services in each of the 5 core domains of HR: policies and procedures, staffing, performance management, compensation, and professional development, The HRM works with I-TECH Malawi leadership, local legal counsel, I-TECH headquarters and other country offices to assure I-TECH Malawi’s HR practices meet applicable standards and requirements 

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Public Administration, Masters’ Degree in Human Resources Management may be an added advantage, Evidence of implementing human resources policies, Experience in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer and email, Excellent communication skills to include fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing in English, Previously demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team and interact with all levels of staff and management
