MCC Malawi – Performance Evaluation of the Infrastructure Development and Power Sector Reform Projects


Abt Associates Inc. (www.abtassociates.com) is recruiting for a variety of positions to be part of our proposal for the MCC Malawi – Performance Evaluation of the Infrastructure Development and Power Sector Reform Projects.

The objective of the Project is to design and implement rigorous impact evaluations and/or performance evaluations of the Infrastructure Development and Power Sector Reform Projects under the Millennium Challenge Account – Malawi’s Compact Program in collaboration with MCC, MCA-M and appropriate local stakeholders.
The positions are:
  • Program Manager: The Program Manager shall be the primary responsible party for administrative coordination and deliverables and shall manage the program review, evaluation design and implementation process.
  • Social and Gender Expert: The Gender Expert shall be responsible for social and gender-related aspects of evaluation.
  • Statistician/Sampling Expert: The Statistician/Sampling Expert shall be responsible for the sampling framework to be implemented for this study.
  • Qualitative Methods Expert: The Qualitative Methods Expert shall be responsible for integrating qualitative methods into the evaluation design.
  • GIS Specialist: The GIS Expert shall provide support in producing visual maps of the electrical network, impact areas and spatial analysis of project impacts.

Any interested candidates must have the following required qualifications or they will not be considered for positions on the team:
  • Advanced degree in relevant technical or management discipline
  • Fluency in English
  • Minimum five years’ professional experience
  • Extensive experience working in Malawi is highly desired
