Project Accountant – AMG Global Chartered Accountants, Zomba

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Project Accountant will be responsible for inter alia:
Recording and maintaining accurate and up-todate project financial records as required by management and Donors, Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with applicable rules, regulations and policies in all project related payments and expenditures; and liquidation of travel and program advances by project personnel, Leading in audits by internal and external auditors and donors audit consultants, Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
A Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, or related field, Minimum of 5 yrs experience in a busy NGO environment, Experience in USAID projects will be an added advantage, Knowledge of SAGE Pastel Accounting Package, Good character + Ethical + interpersonal skills
