Role overview
Working to build the capacity of Teacher Training Colleges, student teachers and in-service teachers in Child Friendly Schools methodology. The volunteer will work with the CPD committee to coordinate the lecturers capacity building. |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Background in Education or teacher training qualification with primary level experience is preferred as most trainees and work will be at this level but secondary trained educationalists with very good experience in child centred methodology can be considered. Ability to conduct needs assessment and deliver training Programmes. Knowledge of Fundraising, Proposal writing. The volunteers will be required to do training in resource mobilization. At least two years’ experience in teacher support Programmes – which includes experience of training, supporting or mentoring either trainee teachers or in-service teachers. Experience in school supervision and management, inclusive Education, Experience of organization and administration for primary or secondary schools, basic Finance Management and Accounting skills. Good interpersonal skills, Good resource mobilization skills, Personal initiative and ability to work patiently and to adapt in the rural setting, commitment to serve the beneficiaries identified in the project |
The successful applicant will be required to start as soon as possible. You will also be expected to provide your own laptop. Please note that the whole project is for 24 months but the volunteer commitment is 6 months |
