Zonal TB Advisor – Zomba/Blantyre (reference no, 150812)
Medical Doctor or Clinical Officer with Masters degree in Public Health or equivalent, Minimum of 5 yrs relevant work experience in Tb control and HIV/TB program, Experience with USAID and/or PEPFAR projects is an asset, demonstrated facilitation skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and knowledge of the local culture are an advantage, Experience in capacity building , the ability to organise and prioritise with eye for detail
Leads the Zonal Challenge TB in the main the Southern region and acts as the Zonal representative for KNCV/Challenge TB program, The main responsibility is to provide high level technical support to all aspects of TB control in the Zone, building sustainable technical capacity of or TB control at Zonal level to ensure patent centred care and treatment, S/he works in close collaboration with staff of NTP, other USAID funded projects and other involved partners to harmonise activities, This position will be based within the Zonal Office (either Zomba or Blantyre) and the Zonal TB Advisor is expected to travel to the field up to 50% of the time, S/he reports to the CTB Technical Coordinator
