CARE Malawi is seeking to recruit a District Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator for UBALE Project to be based in Nsanje, S/he will be responsible for working closely with the District Program Manager to ensure that CARE Malawi has a coherent M&E strategy which guides CARE Malawi in capturing, consolidating, utilising and sharing its project and program information,  The M&E Coordinator will work with and support the project staff to maintain a consistent approach to M&E and ensure that the information collected can be aggregated at various levels to properly tell the story of CARE’s work in Nsanje

S/he will be responsible for the promotion of and fostering reflection, learning and sharing within CARE and stakeholders, The M&E Coordinator will advise and assist in the preparation of project reports and publications, and be responsible for compiling the data required for Country office wide publications documenting CARE’s impact on poverty and social injustice in Malawi This position is part of the Nsanje District Office Management Team 

Lead the implementation of the UBALE Performance M&E plan at district and field level, Provide technical assistance to district program staff to ensure proper use of the M&E system and tools, Line manage a data entry clerk, conduct data quality assessments, Coordinate district participation in program M&E and research activities (baseline assessment, surveys etc), Coordinate the identification and documentation of lessons learned and promising practices, Liaise with relevant govt technical depts. and other stakeholders in the district on M&E related matters, Consolidate data at district level an d support the Program manager to consolidate district reports, Track UBALE contributions to the achievement of the CO vision and impact indicators, Carry out other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisors and the CO 

Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences or related discipline with specialisation win M&E (or an Advanced Diploma with at least 5 yrs of relevant project M&E experience), At least 3 yrs of work experience in M&E in a complex program with a minimum of 1 yr working in a supervisory role, Good knowledge of common M&E software packages (SPSS, Epi info, etc), Familiarity with USAID M&E and reporting requirements
