The CEOs; mission will be to strategically develop the institution in Malawi, shoe operations cover all the 3 regions, to become financially, socially and managerially self sustainable. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional heavyweight who can invigorate the operations, develop and execute the business strategy, drive the organisation forward and motivate all staff to achieve ambitious growth targets 

This is a challenging position requiring the services of a dynamic and forward visionary leader who is commercially oriented and dedicated to ensuring provision of quality services to clients to make a positive and long lasting impact on their lives

Developing the 5 yr strategic plan to detailed annual business plans and departmental work plans and ensuring that all performance targets are met, Ensuring that the institutions organisational structure, management team and staff are aligned to implement the strategic plan as well as the annual business plan, developing and implementing sound financial management and risk management strategies, Optimising the physical infrastructure for the business to operate effectively and cost efficiently, Exploring fresh opportunities for partnerships a, local fundraising and expanding the institutions core business, Formulating organisational policies and ensuring that these are aligned to those set by the international Head Office while taking into consideration the specific requirements of the local market, and generally ensuring adherence to best practice corporate governance operational procedures and financial controls, Adhering to statutory reporting and
other regulatory reporting requirements, Developing and implementing sound marketing strategic/marketing the institutions, business within the community , media and key stakeholders in the public, private, donor and other sectors, Growing the organisation to a position of financial self-sustainability on a continuous basis, Maintaining goo coordination with the international Head Office and keeping them appraised and informed, of all important matters pertaining to the effective operation of the organisation in Malawi 

A Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a business or finance related field, Proven (at least 5 yrs) relevant professional and technical knowledge and experience of financial services environment, particularly within microfinance of which at least 3 yrs must be in managerial and ’man management positions, International experience, particularly within Africa, will be an added advantage, Demonstrable track record of successfully building and growing a business and/or Microfinance institution, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a leadership style that will build relationships, confidence and trust
