Group Tax Manager
Illovo Sugar (Malawi) ltd wishes to recruit Group Tax Manager to be based at Limbe Office, The incumbent will be reporting to the Financial Controller
Bachelor of Accountancy/Economics degree or equivalent plus possession of professional tax or accounting qualifications would be an added advantage, and at least 5 yrs practical experience in a busy tax practice at senior level
Promptly attend to all internal and external audit queries affecting the tax function and take remedial action for any findings, Key contact of all tax relationships with internal and external auditors and tax consultants and tax lawyers, Manage relationships with the Tax Authorities, Ascertain the company’s annual income tax liability and make provisional and final tax payments in compliance with Taxation Act, Review year end and profit estimates estate tax computations and tax packs for accuracy, consistency and compliance with IFRS, tax laws and regulations and group reporting instructions, Computer income tax and assist deferred tax with computations for Limbe during year end , profits estimate a, budget and Strategic plan, Review and approve FBT, VAT, NRT, withholding tax and dividend tax computations and returns before remittance of taxes to the Malawi revenue Authority, (MRA0, Design, document and implement a ell as review systems in order to
ensure full compliance with relevant tax legislation in respect of all applicable tax obligations including but not limited to: fringe benefits tax (FBT), capital gains, value added tax (VAT), non resident tax (NRT), dividend tax, pay as you earn (PAYE), withholding tax, import duties (customs, excise and impart VAT), income taxes (including provisional taxes and final tax) and industrial levels, Manage and ensure that all taxation practices and procedures conform to Illovo Group tax policy and the relevant tax laws and regulations
