Field Officers – 2 posts – CARE Malawi
 
CARE is an International NGO that supports the improvement of livelihoods and capacities of poor and marginalised households in collaboration with the Govt of Malawi and local partners
 
CARE Malawi is seeking to recruit 2 Field Officers to work in its Umodzi project, Umodzi is an action research project implemented in Kasungu District and its aim at testing the effectiveness and scalability of a gender synchronised transformational approach that is integrated into existing school-based adolescent life skills and sexuality education in 13 primary schools
 
The project will work with men, women and boys to improve gender equality for adolescent girls through existing Teen Clubs in the selected primary schools
 
Planning project activities at community and district level in accordance with CARE Strategic Plans, Guidelines and policies, Liaise and coordinate with all relevant development partners at district and community level and ensure that all concerned parties participate fully in project activities, Ensue that relevant trainings in Gender Conscious Practice as stipulate din the design a document have been delivered, Monitor progress of all project activities at community level as well as measure milestones towards realisation of outcomes, Contribute to the development of evaluation tools for baseline and end line surveys, The FO will also develop and timely submit activity and progress reports including documenting progress, lessons learnt and experiences from program implementation, Facilitate real Time Learning sessions over the life of the project and provide timely feedback to the Project Manger on challenges encountered related to the implementation of the UMODZI project, develop and submit activity budgets for project interventions and make reconciliations which are consistent with CARE procedures and compliance policies
 
Diploma in Education, Social Sciences, development Studies, Public Health or any other related field, Those with Bachelors Degree in any of the field s will be preferred, At last 5 yrs experience of working with NGO in rural communities with a bias towards participatory research methodologies and in field based action research activities , Motor cycle licence
