Proposal Objective:
SI is preparing a proposal to USAID/Malawi to conduct a Performance Evaluation of the Support for Service Delivery Project (SSDI)-Services interventions on improved service delivery and quality of care at supported community clinics and health facilities; expanded coverage of quality Essential Health Package (EHP) services; and increased uptake of quality integrated EHP. The main objectives are:
  • To measure and determine the extent to which SSDI-Services interventions had on quality of and access to care;
  • Provide in-depth insights into the facilitating and limiting factors of increased service utilization at each level of service delivery;
  • Document progress made towards building MoH capacity to deliver quality EHP services.
**Please note: This is a local position. Only local Malawian citizens will be considered.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Logistics/Administrative Assistant to support the evaluation team on travel, organizing events and field visits. S/he will report to the Team Leader, and work closely with five team members.
The period of performance is anticipated to be four months, beginning upon award of the contract.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Team Leader in the organization of meetings, arranging field visits, organizing local travel, arranging local accommodation, and scheduling of appointments with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience conducting administrative and logistics activities.
  • Prior experience working on a USAID evaluation team highly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Malawi.
